"Delicious food and very friendly staff!!! We used to go to this restaurant often before it moved (the old location was close to my granddads home). They’ve done a great job making the new restaurant nice and I think they have even expanded their menu. We really enjoyed the pork belly, noodle soup of the day, salt coffees and iced teas. I can’t wait to try the matcha, coconut coffee, bao buns and burgers another time! Thank you for the beautiful food and of reminding me of my travels in Vietnam!"

"Outstanding Banh Mi! We have been on what seems like the Banh Mi tour of NZ and thus far Timaru is the best . Not the biggest Banh Mi we have come across but stacked full to the brim of the best flavored Meat and condiments. For me they understood what Vegan was and made me fresh healthy summer rolls and a delicious Coconut Strawberry Iced Coffee."

"Beautiful cafe with delicious food Great atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. Cute enclosed play area for kids too. Had a fried chicken dish yesterday and almond croissant and matcha latte today and all of it was amazing."

"This place was fantastic!!! The food was amazing and the service was exceptional. I would highly recommend eating here than at one of the fried chicken chains as this was a far superior dining experience and offered more quality and flavorful food."

"I love the decoration showing some signatures of Vietnam - the yellow wall in Hoi An, tradional woodcut painting Dong Ho. The cafe is spacious and have a diverse menu with reasonable prices. $8 for a big glass of Vietnamese creamy salt coffee is a good deal. However, I wouldn't say the food is Vietnamese authentic. We ordered a pork banh mi and staff said it was crispy pork but it tasted like a BBQ pork. It's yummy but not what we expected. Hu tieu noodles was ok. We liked adding the chilli paste and vinegar garlic to it. Prawn curry was like there's no seasoning at all, except the coconut milk flavour."

"Another one for the New Zealanders! Phinz in Timaru (2hrs south of Christchurch). Hidden beneath the abundance of crispy pork belly did house the trimmings of a nicely balanced roll. Good looking menu and a few Banh mi options to choose from. Support the Banh mi makers and drop by for a roll."
